Seabin, which is designed as a garbage box that takes all the wastes in the sea automatically inside, began to provide services by being downloaded in water in different parts of the world. With the help of this technology which is developed by two Australian surfers Andrew Turton and Pete Ceqlinski, all kinds of wastes, garbage, fuel, detergents and other undesired particulars that are on the sea surface are being automatically cleaned. Garbage box in Seabin project is situated a little below the water surface and a connection is made with a pump that is at the pier. Water is sucked from the basket and all the garbage and liquids on surrounding surfaces are taken inside. Seabin is catching the garbage and solid parts which are taken inside and while garbage are collected with a special porous cloth in itself, liquids are passing through the pump at the pier by means of the pump being used. Oil/water separator that is placed at the end of pump, oils and detergents in the liquid are being cleaned. After filtering, sea water which is cleaned from many pollutants is being released back to the sea. This process is being continuously repeated.
