Natural gas will be available for Uludağ which welcomes guests from many countries of the world, and addicts all visitors with its ski slopes, clean air, day and night activities, crystal clear waters, and therefore is a source of attraction for tourists.
Mustafa Bulut -Regional Director of National Parks-, Cüney Şener -Deputy Chairman of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)-, Şükrü Özden -Deputy General Director of Bursagaz-, and other officials attended the meeting which was held under the supervision of Bursa Governor İzzettin Küçük for the transfer of natural gas to the Uludağ Hotels Region.
Bursa Governor İzzetin Küçük, who put forward his environmentalist identity asking for greener combustibles and a greener environment environment and cleaner environment, said in a meeting on delivery of natural gas to Uludağ that "Today we have started a favorable work for Uludağ. We have made our final decision about delivery of natural gas to new congress center, which was formerly a sanatorium before restoration works of BCCI in Bursa Uludağ Hotels region. Hopefully we will start the work in this year and we will finalize it shortly. As it is known, one of the most important problems of Uludağ was heating. Hotels were using fuel delivered by road transport. It was both costly and dangerous. With the natural gas pipeline we plan to build now, the Uludağ Oteller region will have access to safe, clean and environment friendly energy with low cost. Moreover, fiber optic cables will also be installed through this line for Uludağ. In other words, the living standards of Uludağ will rise considerably and will achieve an international quality. In very near future, we will start our work in cooperation with Bursagaz, Forestry District Directorate, National Parks and BCCI. Now Uludağ's ever-talked natural gas demand and heating problem is solved. I hope our city, Uludağ will enjoy new natural gas."
Uludağ will also have access to natural gas in addition to other districts such as Orhaneli, Keles, Büyükorhan and Harmancık, the mountainous regions of Bursa for which an agreement was reached recently and the projects will be started in near future.
